How to Get a Good SharePoint Job

Yesterday evening I attended NYC Women in SharePoint. The topic of the meeting was, "How to Get a Good SharePoint Job." The meeting was informative and interesting.  I learned a few tips about writing your summary on your resume, what most recruiters are looking for, and life as a consultant and permanent employee.  I also learned about the job opportunities at CGS as their Director of Recruiting explained what they look for in each type of SharePoint position in their company.  I found a few of them to be a good match for me.

Here's to my first blog...

I'm excited and I look forward to writing about my thoughts and experience on SharePoint (SP). 

Currently, I work with SharePoint 2007 and I am the SharePoint administrator of a nonprofit organization's intranet site.  Every day is exciting since you don't know what fire you may have to put out. 

I like what I do very much and I enjoy working with all levels of people.  Some people are easy to talk and work with, and others… well; let’s just say that’s when your people skills start to kick in.  Me, I have excellent interpersonal skills :-)
